Condumex began operations in 1954, under the name of Conductores Mexicanos, S.A. in partnership with Anaconda-Pirelli.

Today, within Grupo Carso, the business is mainly focused on 6 sectors

Operations start in Tlaxcala Plant.

1974

Condumex and Aptiv initiated a Joint Venture within the Automotive Sector:

“Promotora de Partes Eléctricas SA de CV”.

1984

1990

Technical Center opens in Querétaro City for wire harness development and design

1991

Operations begin at Apaseo Plant

1992

Condumex was purchased by Grupo Carso, which provided financial stability and multiple good practices for financial success.

1994

Operations start in Ixtacuixtla Plant

1996

Operations start at Silao Plant I

1998

As part of the new business model, the development of embedded automotive software is initiated.

1999

Operations start at Silao Plant II

2007

The SDEE (for its acronym in Spanish) (Electrical/Electronic Distribution Systems) laboratory is renewed and operations start in Jerécuaro Plant.

2008

Operations begin at San Felipe Plant

2011

Wire Harness Design for Volkswagen Group starts operations in Wolfsburg, Germany.

2012

Operations start in Jaral de Berrios Plant and Ocampo Plant

2013

Audi awarded AUDI Q5 seat wire harness business and 8 TIER I businesses, participating in the start-up of Audi Operations in Mexico.

Operations start in Nanacamilpa Plant.

2014

Operations begin at the San Diego de la Unión Plant.

The industrial secret protection process for the manufacture of Aluminum Battery Harnesses with proprietary technology developed at Arcomex and CIDEC begins.

2015

Operations start in Jaral del Progreso Plant

We participated in the Tech Show event presenting technological proposals for E-Mobile (in-vehicle connectivity), Test Labs in Mexico (CIDEC) and Hybrid technology (HV cables); in Volkswagen Puebla.

2016

Volkswagen MQB battery and generator electrical system assembly operations begin, for all America.

2018

Operations start in Tarandacuao Plant and Altzayanca Plant

2019

Operations with Navistar start

2020

Volkswagen awarded the battery harness of the new Electric Car to be produced in Chattanooga.

2021

Almoloya harness plant start up.
San Felipe II harness plant start up.
T1XX Global B program ramp up curve.
Coroneo harness plant start up.
Award from WV Chattanooga for Atlas miscelaneous wire harness assemblies replacement business.
Award from GM for the low voltage primary wire harness assemblies for the fully electric C223 and L232 programs.

2022

Start of production for low voltage wire harness assemblies for the fully electric VW ID4.
Start of production at GM Silao for T1XX Global B program.
SAP implementation project.
Acámbaro harness plant start up.

2023

Start of specialty cables project for BMW
Startup of the GM C223 program.
Manufacturing of harnesses with 1 GBps Ethernet.
Development of flat and round copper bar for electric vehicles charging.
Opening of Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato harness plant.
